ZATOICHI   (2003)

Joe Violente: Funny and fast moving, Kitano turns in a worthy Z movie. Too much CGI  though.

Verson Jetorix: CGI-laden yet laudable attempt by Beat to be beat.  The originals are still the best.

CAMPUS SWINGERS [aka SCHOOLGIRL REPORT 4]  (1972)

Joe Violente: Fun German sleaze with lots of sex and nudity. Features Christina Lindberg with both her eyes.

Verson Jetorix: Love these free-wheeling German “school report” flicks.  More please.

Shown November 4, 2004

INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS   (1973)

Joe Violente: Cheesy fun but not sleazy enough. William Smith is actually a good guy in this one.

Verson Jetorix: Enjoyable absurdity.  They just don’t make’em like this anymore.

EYES WITHOUT A FACE   (1959)

Joe Violente: Classy French horror with an underlying sickness. The Criterion dvd is awesome.

Verson Jetorix: Gorgeous medical horror classic transcends the B-movie plot to become one of a kind.

Shown October 15, 2004  (Special)

FEMALE PRISONER #701: SCORPION   (1972)

Joe Violente: Revenge that's both stylish and exploitive. A real winner.

Verson Jetorix: Awesome Jap WIP flick with style and some serious verve.

TERROR TRAIN   (1980)

Joe Violente: Lame slasher movie with some cheesy magic stuff by David Copperfield.

Verson Jetorix: Why am I watching this again?

Shown October 1, 2004

SANTO VS THE MARTIAN INVASION   (1966)

Joe Violente: Not the best but still a pretty fun entry.

Verson Jetorix: Good silliness for when you’re likkered up.

THRILLER: A CRUEL PICTURE   (1974)

Joe Violente: A revenge movie that really really takes its time to unfold but, hey, I really really liked it.

Verson Jetorix: Sweet revenge flick takes its time but it’s worth it.

Shown September 3, 2004

TRUCK TURNER   (1974)

Joe Violente: Hayes is a good laidback tough guy but Nichelle Nichols steals the show as an evil badass bitch.

Verson Jetorix: Very enjoyable crime thriller that surprised me.  Isaac Hayes was good and the movie wasn’t too stupid.  Prime action.

ISLAND OF DEATH   (1975)

Joe Violente: A gem that delivers lots of pointless atrocities. Required viewing for Atrocians.

Verson Jetorix: Over the top, and we love that.  A classic of some sort

Shown August 6, 2004

THE CURIOUS DR. HUMPP   (1967)

Joe Violente: Weird Argentine sex and horror fever dream. And that's a good thing.

Verson Jetorix: Argentina rocks!  Sci-fi sex film that delivers!  Very fun sexploitation worth another look.

HAMMER   (1972)

Joe Violente: It moves quick and Fred Williamson is always worth watching.

Verson Jetorix: Redeeming factor: William Smith.

Shown May 7, 2004

DAUGHTER OF THE MIND   (1969)

Joe Violente: Fear the mind that programmed this TV movie with the big tit sex movie FUEGO!

Verson Jetorix: Cheater ghost flick is one of the first, if not best, of the golden age cycle of TV movies.

FUEGO   (1968)

Joe Violente: Argentine sex romp about the insatiable Laura. Not too bad.

Verson Jetorix: More (and bigger) tits from Argentina.  Overheated nympho action good for a grin.

Shown April 2, 2004

BLOOD OF THE VIRGINS   (1967)

Joe Violente: I don't remember a thing about this movie. I may have passed out.

Verson Jetorix: Argentine blood n’ tits horror that I found as entertaining (and forgettable) as any Euro version of same.

Shown March 5, 2004

KANTO WANDERER   (1963)

Joe Violente: KANTO WANDERER ain't no TOKYO DRIFTER.

Verson Jetorix: My mind wandered.

SWINGING CHEERLEADERS   (1974)

Joe Violente: A cast full of whores and Jack Hill manages to turn out a movie with hardly any skin at all!

Verson Jetorix: Second in the trilogy is more serious with less skin.  What the…?

Shown February 13, 2004 (Special)

CHRONOS   (1993)

Joe Violente: Classy Mexican horror that I liked much better the second time I saw it.

Verson Jetorix: Cool Mexi-horror with class and intelligence.

BLUEBEARD   (1972)

Joe Violente: A few babe victims worth looking at but not much else.

Verson Jetorix: Hang-dog Eurosleaze production that is more dumb than sleazy.  Only in the 70s.

Shown February 6, 2004

SIMPLE MEN   (1992)

Joe Violente: An excellent movie. Stylish and funny. Hal Hartley is one of a kind.

Verson Jetorix: Classic Hal Hartley and perhaps his best effort.

VIOLENCE IN A WOMAN'S PRISON   (1982)

Joe Violente: Typical Bruno Mattei - Brutal and sleazy and not very involving. But it does deliver.

Verson Jetorix: Violence in a women’s prison.

Shown January 2, 2004

REVOLVER   (1973)

Joe Violente: Fast moving picture with a nice dark ending. Testi and Reed make a good "team". I liked it.

Verson Jetorix:  Pretty good slice of Fabio Testi Eurocrime despite Oliver Reed being in it.

REVENGE OF THE CHEERLEADERS   (1975)

Joe Violente: Fun sex and nudity romp.

Verson Jetorix: The strangest of the cheerleader trilogy.  Like a fever dream of tits, bad fashions and stupidity, but hey, what do you want in a cheerleader movie?
